Activities at First Presbyterian Church of Forest Hills

Everything we do is both shaped by and helps to shape, what we value. So as we worship, live, learn, and grow as disciples, we are engaged in education. As a community of faith, we believe that every moment of our time together, as well as how we live when we are apart, makes us who we are and conveys a message to the people around us, especially our children.  At the heart of it, this is how we live our mission statement.

Sunday School

Welcome to Sunday School!

Last fall, we introduced the Deep Blue curriculum. Our "tweens" class, taught by Karen Wood, is using the "Submerge" lessons for kids at age 11 and above.

Vacation Bible School

At First Presbyterian Church of Forest Hills, Vacation Bible School (VBS) is an amazing summer-time experience for children aged four years through 5th grade. Through this weeklong theme-based program, children learn about serving God in fun and engaging ways. Generally offered in the month of June, VBS offers Bible classes, crafts, music, recreation, science, and mission projects.

Christian Meditation

Want to feel more alive and connected to people? Longing for quiet in your day to commune with God?

Elder Nadina Grants is leading practice of Christian Meditation as taught by Fr. John Main. We meet in the sanctuary each Tuesday at 7 PM for a silent meditation with a mantra. We begin with a reading and some mindful movement. Then we sit for 20 minutes. Join us!

ALL traditions and faiths are welcome!
