Queens Tales is a brand new program designed to help individuals contribute their own unique stories to the rich mosaic that is our borough. By combining writing exercises and peer insights, with storytelling and improvisation exercises, participants can learn to share their unique anecdotes, oral histories, or family memories. Once these stories are brought forward, we can address techniques for crafting these tales as memoir, short stories, monologues, or even scenes in a larger presentation. Collectively, we can build a story library that reveals the true colors of Queens today. Whether you would like to see your stories in print one day, share them in front of a microphone, or just preserve them for your kids, this workshop is designed to help you find your writing voice.
